From 7th October to 14th November, eTwinning will run a video competition entitled “My eTwinning movie”. The main aim is to encourage eTwinning teachers to produce short video-clips explaining what they like about eTwinning. The competition is part of the eTwinning Weeks campaign.
From 7th October teachers registered in eTwinning and eTwinning Plus (for schools in Europe’s immediate neighbourhood) will be able to post their videos on the campaign page (access through the eTwinning Desktop).
All entries must be added to the campaign page before the 7th November 2013, 7pm CET.
The winners will be chosen by a jury from the 10 most liked videos.
All eTwinners can vote for any video clip available on the platform until 14th November.
The jury (composed by CSS and NSS members, and European Commission representatives) will select the 3 best videos based on their creativity, message contained and capability to promote eTwinning
Launched in 2005 as the main action of the European Commission’s eLearning Programme, eTwinning has become the biggest community of teachers in Europe. It has been firmly integrated in the Lifelong Learning Programme since 2007. Its Central Support Service (CSS) is operated by European Schoolnet, with the collaboration of 35 National Support Services (NSS).
The eTwinning action promotes school collaboration in Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies by providing support, tools and services to make it easy for schools to form short or long term partnerships in any subject area. The eTwinning Portal, available in twenty-five languages, has now the involvement of nearly 206181 members and over 5752 active projects (statistics from August 2013).
