As well as supporting European school links through eTwinning and Comenius, the British Council also run programmes to help schools start and devleop partnerships globally. This month, the new Connecting Classrooms programme for schools was launched.
Funded by the British Council & the Department for International Development, Connecting Classrooms is designed to help young people learn about global issues & become responsible global citizens, as well as giving them the skills to work in a global economy.
The programme offers school partnerships; professional development courses for teachers; accreditation; and the chance to share best practice with international counterparts.
