Many congratulations to the wonderful Woodacre Nursery School in Glasgow on being named as International Primary school of the Year in the HSBC/British Council Link2Learn Awards…
Central to their submission was their innovative etwinning project with Italy which involved the very young students getting to know their partner through the exchange of powerpoints and photographs of flags and mascots to compare and contrast their cultures and customs. Favourite food recipes were exchanged and they developed their ICT skills and created a EuroCitizens website.
Their etwinning work has been highlighted at an Education Scotland open day for global citizenship through the Scottish Learning Festival and it’s great that etwinning is such an inclusive way to promote and develop proactive global citizens.
