Applications from teachers, for the 2011 Global Children’s Challenge™ are now OPEN for classes in the last 3 years of primary school. This year, the FREE OF CHARGE initiative will involve 120,000 school children from over 80 countries, all walking their way to a healthier future.
Supported by sporting legends including Cathy Freeman OAM, Herb Elliot AC MBE and Colin Jackson CBE, the Global Children’s Challenge™ aims to instil in children a lifetime habit of increased daily exercise. This is achieved in a truly unique & engaging way – by challenging each class to undertake a virtual walk around the world in 50 days!
The 50 day challenge runs from 15th September - 3rd November 2011.
Registrations from teachers for their class is now open. As this is totally free of charge, we recommend that teachers register their class as early as possible.
How to Apply: Each class teacher simply needs to visit www.gccjunior.org and complete the short online form. Each teacher must submit their own application for their class, so please encourage the teachers of all eligible classes within your school to apply.
Registrations close 31st July 2011.
