This past weekend (June 5th - 7th) 15 teachers from all parts of the UK travelled out to Prague to spend two full days working with 15 teachers from Czech Republic face to face in workshops and various partner-finding activities with aim of starting brand new eTwinning projects around the broad theme of Citizenship.
Prague provided a beautiful backdrop and the Czech hospitality was magnificent, but without doubt the highlight was the enthusiasm, hard work and open-mindedness of all the teachers involved which led to 16 new eTwinning projects being conceived.
The weekend was not without incident though, one member of the UK NSS got taken on the wrong bus by two of the Czech teachers (I won't name names, but it was me!) and ended up taking over an hour to make a ten minute journey!
Overall the weekend was a resounding success with everyone leaving energised and motivated to get going with their projects. It will be very interesting to watch these projects grow and develop over the next few months as good relationships were formed and solid foundations built for many high quality eTwinning projects.
